Peppermint creams are soft and minty candies that melt in your mouth.

  • 1 Saucepan
  • 1 Mixing spoon


  • 454 grans Caster Sugar
  • 178 ml Water
  • ½ tsp Peppermint Essence
  • Pinch Cream of Tartar


  • Place the sugar and water into a saucepan and stir over slow heat until the sugar dissolves.
  • Once dissolved, bring to the boil and add the cream of tartar, without stirring.
  • Once it gets to a soft texture that you can roll into a ball remove it from the hear and place the saucepan in cold water.
  • Add the peppermint essence and stir until its thick enough to knead. At this stage you can choose to either simply roll into a ball and then flatten with a fork and rest to the side for them to set.
